Long Bio
Jim Perry is a nationally recognized comedian, military veteran, and former police officer who turns real-life experience into sharp, relatable humor. With over 20 years in law enforcement, military service in the Persian Gulf, and a background in corporate security, he’s worn a lot of uniforms. He’s also worked in hospitals and stood in front of a classroom—seeing people at their best, their worst, and their most caffeinated.
Those years left him with a stockpile of stories: the cop calls nobody believes, the nurses and doctors who keep the hospital running while the paperwork tries to win, and the classroom moments where the students taught him more than he taught them. Jim turns it all into comedy that reveals the human side of the people who serve, protect, heal, and teach.
In 2004, he was named Officer of the Year for his outstanding service in law enforcement. Since then, he’s been recognized as a comedian, actor, and screenwriter, with credits that include work with Netflix. He’s been seen on ABC, NBC, CBS, and Amazon Prime. Off stage, Jim is a dedicated community volunteer, frequently supporting local causes, fundraisers, and nonprofits—proof that you can serve in more than one way, and more than one career.
